Abstract: An open house for the Museum of Ancient Mediterranean Cultures at the University of Mary Washington. This museum is meant to be an immersive experience, where visitors can move in a reconstructed ancient space, touch the objects there, and experience what it was like to live in an ancient culture. The current installations include a Roman “fast food” shop known as a thermopolium, a Pompeian-style graffiti wall, and an exhibit on the mapping of ancient Rome. Additions have been made to both the thermopolium and the mapping exhibit, while the graffiti wall and a web site for the museum are entirely new this year.
